Anja de Jong (1960) has been working with Drosophila Melanogaster for more than 30 years. In November 2015 she started to work as a research technician in the section Electron Microscopy were she acquired expertise on electron microscopic specimen preparation sectioning and EM imaging. Her skills comprise multiple sample preparation methods, including chemical fixation, immuno-labelling, high-pressure freezing and freeze substitution, embedding of samples and (cryo)-sectioning. The work of Anja is partially embedded in the Virus Replication group.
